SASO IECEE
The SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate is a Saudi Arabian conformity initiative set up by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization. Its aim is to ensure that certain product types have been tested and certified to the required IEC standards by an IECEE Certified Body.

WHAT IS THE SASO CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY?
Imported goods to Saudi Arabia can’t pass through the customs unless they are accompanied by the appropriate export documentation, specifically a SASO Certificate of Conformity. This document attests to the fact that the product in question has been examined and found to be up to far with the quality and safety requirements established by the Saudi government. The SASO certificate is equivalent to a customs clearance passport for the shipped items. In Saudi Arabia, Customs officials may nevertheless subject an imported good to additional testing and inspection once it has arrived in the country, even if a SASO has been issued.

WHAT IS THE SASO SABER IECEE CERTIFICATION?
The Saudi Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) is one of the first pure technical governmental bodies. It governs the organizational and executive tasks related to standards, quality & metrology, including laying down and accrediting Saudi standards of goods, products & services, measurement & calibration bodies, and procedures of conformity evaluation & certification.
SASO (The Saudi Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Organization) has implemented SASO IECEE recognition certificate for certain types of products that are imported into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It was announced and notified to all importers, manufacturers and exporters that all products covered by the SASO IECEE system and shipped to Saudi Arabia will be subject to control by the customs authorities to verify their compliance with the requirements.
SASO is also responsible for accrediting laboratories and certification bodies for quality systems and setting methods of sampling, testing, technical inspection and setting quality systems. The SASO/SABER aims to protect businesses from fraud and ensure that products are free from defects that may affect the health and safety of consumers.
The Quality Services & Trade LLC is approved and authorized as a Notification and Certification Body (CB) by SASO for issuing Conformity Certificates.
